The Making Of The Jacquelyn

The Jacquelyn was born from love and legacy. When talented artist and philanthropist Jacquelyn “Jackie” Anderson passed from cancer in 2021, her husband Jim Anderson sought to honor her vibrant spirit by creating something that would keep her passion for creativity, curiosity, and community alive.

A master of her craft who remained fearlessly curious throughout her life as a photographer, designer, dancer, and explorer, Jackie embodied the belief that art and connection could transform lives.

With Jackie as our north star, we asked: How do we create a space for the spiritually and intellectually curious? The result is a club where every detail from architecture to programming was chosen with purpose.

From the start, our intention has been to extend social wellness beyond the individual, fostering genuine connection and purposeful living. At our heart, we are a tribute to Sacramento and to Jackie, a space built on the belief that connection and community matter.

Though Jim passed away in August 2025, we are here to stay as a living homage to this exceptional couple that showed up for our city. The Jacquelyn stands as both a tribute to one remarkable woman and an invitation to all of us: to live a life that leaves a legacy.
